Aqua-Chem, Inc., The Leader in Global Water Solutions, Is Proud of their Partnership with Oak Ridge High School

Aqua-Chem, has partnered with the Oak Ridge High school welding program, in a coordinated effort to support the future welders of tomorrow. Jeff Hankins, the welding class instructor and former Aqua-Chem employee trains high school students in various aspects of industrial welding. The program is just one in the Oak Ridge area exposing high school students to the type of high-tech skills that are in demand according to manufacturers. Oak Ridge provides these programs as a way to introduce manufacturing as a possible career path for students.  Teachers and administrators see the classes as a way to give students employable skills. To ensure students have the material needed to conduct hands on training, Aqua-Chem supports their efforts by donating the material needed when feasible. "We truly enjoy being able to give back to community “said Aqua-Chem President and CEO David Gensterblum. "Exposing high school students to manufacturing and welding in particular, is critical. These students that we support today, will one day be our future employees of tomorrow."
