Aqua-Chem, Inc. Equipment Offered to Help Address the Needs of Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Victims for Pure Water
Use of two mobile systems is being coordinated through U.S. State Department; Navy ships participating in the relief effort have eight of the company’s water purification units installed
Knoxville, Tennessee, March 16, 2011 – Aqua-Chem, Inc., a complete water purification solutions provider, today noted that it is working through the U.S. State Department to make two mobile purification systems available to the Japanese government to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated part of the country last week. One of the two mobile purification units being offered is capable of processing up to 1.2 million gallons a day from sources as readily available as ocean water. At the same time, the company added, U.S. Navy ships participating in the relief effort have eight of Aqua-Chem’s water purification systems installed that can provide thousands of additional gallons of potable water on behalf of the United States.
