Aqua-Chem in partnership with the US Navy
The USNS Montford Point, the first of the US Navy‘s MLP (Mobile Landing Platform) ships was recently christened in San Diego. On board equipment includes an Aqua-Chem 25,000 gallon per day reverse osmosis system that produces drinking water from seawater. This equipment is manufactured in Aqua-Chem’s Knoxville, TN facility.

Aqua-Chem, has partnered with the Oak Ridge High school welding program, in a coordinated effort to support the future welders of tomorrow. Jeff Hankins, the welding class instructor and former Aqua-Chem employee trains high school students in various aspects of industrial welding. The program is just one in the Oak Ridge area exposing high school students to the type of high-tech skills that are in demand according to manufacturers.

Aqua-Chem, Inc., a Knoxville, TN based small business, provides critical supplies in support of our military's water purification missions.
Aqua-Chem, in partnership with SOTERA Defense, supplied the US Army and Marine Corps with the latest mobile water purification technologies in the Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS). This system is being used to support the 741st Quartermaster Company, SC National Guard, during their participation in the Ardent Sentry 2013 exercises. The QM Co. deployed their TWPS with the mission to purify lake water, making it suitable for human consumption. David J.
