Executive Management

David Gensterblum - President and CEO

Mr. Gensterblum joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. in 2000 as General Manager.  Promoted to President in 2004, Mr. Gensterblum has held positions in sales/operations/program management/mergers and acquisitions at Textron and Global Automotive Alliance where he was extensively involved in turnaround/mergers and acquisitions activity with concentrations on minority development and supply base enhancement. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Ferris State University.  Mr. Gensterblum serves on several local community non-profit boards and committees.

Tom Gillcrist - Chief Financial Officer

Tom comes to Aqua-Chem, Inc. from CUSTOMatrix, Inc. in San Diego, CA where he successfully served as a Principal in Strategic Services for the past five years. Prior to that, Tom held upper-level management positions at AXEON Water Technologies, Tech M3, Ionics, Microbar Inc., and U.S. Filter. Tom earned his MBA from the University of Virginia - Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. 

Heidi Robinette - Director, Communications and Organizational Development

Mrs. Robinette joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. in 2011. In 2012 she was promoted to Human Resources Manager with corporate-wide responsibility for Human Resources. Prior to joining Aqua-Chem, Inc. Mrs. Robinette successfully held management positions for government entities and King Pharmaceuticals. She has 21 years of experience in business administration and management. 

Daniel Grommersch - Vice President, Sales

New to Aqua-Chem in 2013, Daniel brings a strong general management background to the senior management team. Daniel was most recently President of Compass Water Solutions, which designed and manufactured water treatment equipment and prior to that, held a variety of management positions with several Fortune 500 companies. Daniel has an MBA from Michigan State University and a BS from South Dakota State University. Daniel is also certified in Integrated Recourse Management (CIRM), Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), and is a certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).

Sean Green - Director, Offshore Sales

Mr. Green received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Marquette University.  Upon graduation from MSOE, he joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. as an Applications Engineer.  Sean has been promoted throughout his tenure to various positions including Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager and to his current position of Commercial Sales Manager. 

Frank Keefer - Director, Program Management

Mr. Keefer joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. in 2010 as Director of PBL Operations.  In late 2010, he was promoted to Director of Operations with corporate-wide responsibility for Operations and Information Technology.  Prior to joining Aqua-Chem, Inc., he held operations management positions at Special Devices, Inc., Rexnord Industries, and Fulton Bellows, LLC.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from Saint Leo University.

Ronnie Shook - Director, Pharmaceutical & Beverage Sales

Mr. Shook joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. in 2011 as Business Development Manager for the Pharmaceutical/Biotech and Beverage Divisions. Since graduating from North Carolina State University in 1996 with his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Shook has held many high-profile technical and management positions within the semi-conductor, pharmaceutical and biotech industries, specializing in the design, operation and maintenance of high purity water and critical utility systems.

Gregg Delaware - Director, Commercial Aftermarket

Mr. Delaware is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he obtained his degree in Marketing and Finance.  He has 30 years of experience in sales and sales management in the pharmaceutical, industrial chemicals and solvents, hazardous waste transportation and disposal, and waste water treatment sectors. Gregg joined Aqua-Chem, Inc. in 2010 where he is responsible for Commercial Aftermarket Sales, Service, and International Distributors.

David Keever - Industrial Business Unit Manager

Mr. Keever joined Aqua-Chem in 2008 as Director of Operations – Matrix Division, after the acquisition of Matrix Utilities by Aqua-Chem.  He was named Director of Technical Services in 2010 and promoted to his current position in 2011.  Prior to joining Aqua-Chem, he was employed by Matrix Utilities Corp. as Vice President of Operations (2004 – 2008), Director of Engineering (2002 – 2004) and Project Manager (1999 – 2002).  He also held the positions of Military Propulsion Systems Test Engineer (1989 – 1995) and Flight Test Manager, F-22 and X-35 Propulsion Systems (1995 – 1999) at the Pratt & Whitney Division of United Technologies Corp.  Mr. Keever received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University.

Thomas C. Shrader - General Manager Specific Equipment.

Thomas C. Shrader joined Specific Equipment full time in 1994 where he held a number of positions, which included Purchasing, Inside Sales and Outside Sales.  In 2004 Thomas left to sell Pumps & Mud Agitators for Hahn Equipment.  In 2007 Mr. Shrader returned to Specific Equipment as Sales Manager.  In 2012 he was named General Manager of Specific Equipment.  Mr. Shrader received a B.A. in Management from the University of Houston.
