Design capabilities include full ACAD and SolidWorks. The lead designer has been designing Aqua-Chem skid systems for over thirteen years. With a design staff that has over 60 years of experience, the Aqua-Chem design team meets all the demands of GMP and ASME compliant systems design.

In–House Fabrication

Aqua-Chem manufactures stainless steel sanitary equipment on a daily basis. We perform all fabrication in our Knoxville factory, including heat exchangers, vessels, skid frames and electrical panels. A fully staffed electrical department builds all Aqua-Chem control and power panels for use in our skids. Instrumentation or components from any major manufacturer is available in addition to Aqua-Chems standard supply.

In-House Assembly

We have been building FDA GMP and cGMP compliant sanitary systems for over 20 years and follow the latest ASME BPE guidelines for our sanitary systems. With a steady backlog of biopharm water systems in house we maintain a finely honed expertise in sanitary system fabrication. Work performed in our shop is under tight control by experienced craftsmen with decades of experience at Aqua-Chem.

In-House Programming

Aqua-Chem engineers perform all of the programming required for PLC controls and OIT displays. Programming changes can be made on the fly during final customer review and Factory Acceptance Testing without recourse to outside resources.

In-House Testing and Validation

All FATs are performed in the Knoxville facility under the experienced eye of the Aqua-Chem quality and engineering teams. An ASME Section VIII Div 1 manufacturer Aqua-Chem has the quality systems in place to meet all the requirements of ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code, the ASME Bioprocessing Equipment Standard and the applicable European Directives required for CE marking.
